A sharp, properly set blade will cut straight, smooth and fast and is a pleasure to use.   Teeth out of set can score your lumber and compromise your blade's ability to remain straight in the cut.  Teeth naturally lose their set over time - A proper blade maintenance program includes routinely checking the set of each tooth and making required adjustments.  The Norwood tooth setter is accurate to 0.002" and is factory-configured for 1 1/4" blades (an optional retrofit kit is available for 1½" blades).    Setter includes a dial indicator and 3 support arms.
